Remember what was carbon paper used for? You could make copies as you typed. A sheet of carbon paper went between the original and copy sheet and left a carbon impression.

Where would you find silk ribbon? Silk ribbon was often used for a typewriter’s ink ribbon. You even had a choice of red or black ink.

What is a Dictabelt? These were bands of translucent green, blue and red plastic on which to record letters for transciption.
